Yes, it's that hot

Ink the Cat has the right idea for relaxing and staying cool. These days, it's good to have indoor projects and venture outside as little as possible in the heat of the day. Weed-pulling, lawn-mowing and vegetable picking should be done early in the day or after sunset. Drink lots of iced tea. Read those new library books. Clean the workbench and get ready for Autumn. O.M.G. Did I say Autumn . . . . ?

The leaves and acorns are already falling here. Hanging laundry is a test of my agility, I have to dodge the tiny acorn bombs.

Of course, I'm about as agile as a water buffalo so...

Agile as a water buffalo - yer killin' me here, kid.

Oh yeah, I see that a few college kids are already moving back to town, dorms are preparing, more out-of-state cars, Nebraska football stuff is going into stores. Hoo boy! Please tell me Summer's not over!

Well, my husband describes me as being as agile as a pregnant musk ox...I was cutting myself some slack.

It's a comin'...but I'm OK with that, I can't get enough of autumn.
