But.
Okay, I had another basal cell carcinoma removed from my jawline last week. Yep, the exact spot where another one was removed three yeas ago. The first one was just a small dark spot on my left cheek on the surface but when he got in there and started digging around, it was the size of a silver dollar under the surface. Out it came.
Three years later it gets a little lumpy and back I go for another look/see. Yep, there that little cancer is once again so in we go and 2.5 hours later I'm minus a piece from my cheek about the size of your little finger. Lovely. Still, I'm enormously grateful to my darling plastic surgeon/oral surgeon for his 'pickiness' in making me the nicest scar possible. Stitches out Thursday =-)

phew: thank goodness. And yet, I know it's hard to lose that finger of skin.

So glad you had it looked at again, looks like he did a great job stitching it up. The cabs are gorgeous...will you be listing any for sale?
Glad you're on the mend, my friend.
The stones are beeeeeautiful! That one with the angled banding...oh my goodness. Lovely work.
Sandi, I won't list any of these - Lisa found the nuggets in her drive in Minnesota and I cut and polished them for her. However! I just may start listing some of my excess material if you're interested!
Yes, anxious to get stitches out so I can put some gel patches on to reduce scarring - Thursday.
Glad I'm mending, too. Now I have to think twice when I sit outside and want to turn my face to the sun.
Thank you for the great reminder that everyone should be checking their skin and getting weird things looked after! Scar Shmar - you are BEAUTIFUL!
WOW, you have a very GOOD surgeon!!
Those sutures look great. I'm happy you followed up on your lumpies. I agree with Sandi the cabs are gorgeous and I love the bracelet in copper.
